i was not planning on selling the 350. really. it is probably the best dirt bike i ever had to that point. it really combined the low weight of a small bike with just enough torque to get me out of all sorts of trouble. especially since i added the rekluse clutch, basically an auto clutch system. with that thing on there is far less need to play with the sensationally light clutch these bikes have. as an added bonus the rekluse sort of auto-feathers the clutch on more difficult tracks; almost like cheating really.

so … with all of that said: the 350 was going. the new girl was delivered from queensland (they are hard to find) and while the 350 looked like a six days (2011 the international six days enduro competition was held in finland hence the blue touch) the 250 is a real six days (green white red because the isde was in sardinia) model. that means trick billet triples, closed cartridge forks, black rims, a hopefully more comfortable seat and heaps of other goodies. and since the 2015 models are coming in soon i got this for a nice price.

ok, that was not really the reason the trade the 350 for a 250. but the fact is that there is no 350 class in competition. there is a <250 class and a <450 class and that means the 350 races all the 450. sometimes that is not a big issue but particularly in rallys that is not helpful. so i got the 250.

makes sense?

at the moment the bike is back in enduro mode with the rekluse clutch from the 350, an akrapovic silencer and a few other goodies. i have not ridden her in a long time though … the nomad is getting most of the use these days.
