now it’s all coming together. the nav tower is back on the bike, so is the f2r switch block on the left side that controls the imo and the roadbook. the switches for the lights, index and horn have been relocated to the crossbrace.

i have already installed the led dust light but need to find the right connection. according to the regulations the dust light must be on whenever the engine is running, so i need to find the right lead to tap into.

the index lights on the other hand have been mounted on the tower as well and work.

i already have a set of michelin deserts – on michelin mousse – on the bike, on my new set of rims (with beautiful orange hubs). of course i scratched the rims when i mounted the tyres … next i’ll scratch the original six days rims when i mount the second set of tyres.

there are a few things left: as i said the dust light needs to be wired, the horn needs to be reinstalled and i want to make a new roadbook carrier to safe a little space. the space will be used to mount the voyager (my preference) or the ktm odo, as a backup in case the imo packs in. i also still have to replace the fuel lines with steel braided ones (boy that royal mail is slow) and mount the rallysafe carrier and antenna.

most importantly i have to build the crate the bike will ship in.

almost there …
