now that the bearings are out i’s time to get the new ones in. unfortunately it is difficult to find the special tools required to professionally press in the new bearings …

so a little ghetto engineering is on the cards.good thing the 6900 2rs bearing internal diameter is pretty much precisely an m10 thread.

the 7902 bearings are bit trickier. a 15mm internal diameter is harder to find, but the m12 rod does the job well enough.

one bearing needed a little light persuasion … a bit of a knock to set things straight … but in the end it all turned out well.

now it can all go back together. hopefully quickly. i want to get back on the bike.
