the weather report did not sound good: damaging winds and heavy rains were forecast for today. the wind was actually not too bad; yesterday when we decided to pack up the awning and choose a new spot for the van was worse.<\/p>\n

there was also not too much rain (until now at least, we’ll see what we get later tonight) but it was apparently enough to close the road to carnarvon. looks like these depth indicators on the side of the road are not a joke to mislead tourists. there is a warning about water across the road to tom price as well, we’ll make a call tomorrow whether we go or stay another day here in coral bay.<\/p>\n
