kris complained the she was stuggling getting up some hills with the nomad c.<\/p>\n

and while i don’t really understand why when we mostly go on almost flat runs i do appreciate that a 1×9 is really no longer state-of-the-art. to be perfectly honest i was already planning to replace it with a 1×11 but found the cost too high.<\/p>\n

then one of the online bike stores ran a special offer for a replacement set and i jumped on it.<\/p>\n

it does make a difference whether the big ring is a 34t or a 42t. actually running a ‘1 by’ setup with only 9 rings does not make a lot of sense.<\/p>\n

personally i would not want to run the shimano xt setup but it is a great option for kris.<\/p>\n

she\u00a0is much happier now and is definitely finding hills a lot less stressful.<\/p>\n
