nat and I have been collecting bits & bobs for a while. nat’s bike is getting a bit small …
we collected a fork, a seat post (from a fellow gorilla), got some more titanium bolts and dug up some treasures in the garage: wheels, a shock. one day this nice nukeproof carbon bar turned up and brought along a set of descendant carbon cranks and hope e4 brakes.
carbon and titanium – goes together like … well things that go together really well.
they also go together perfectly with a santa cruz nomad frame, which arrived today (finally!). it’s just a bit bigger than nat’s current nomad alloy v2 and a long way smaller than its twin – mine.
now the real fun can begin: nat & i just love building bikes.
this will be the third we build together for her. tomorrow we’ll get the headset pressed in so we can install the fork … then the brakes …
we’ll have to wait a little for some other parts, mainly the triggers, cassette and derailleur. i hope it will all be here for our next trip to the mountains.
