ok, manly dam is not particularly difficult or tricky. more than anything nat & i like to ride it because most other trails on the northern beaches generally don’t have much flow.

plus many trails are simply too much work climbing over rocks and stones, which is not much fun when you have short legs and a comparatively heavy bike. btw the photo above shows nat on top of the aptly named ‘john’s vomit hill’, and she road up all the way. on a nomad! not bad.

so we’ll ride the dam … and ourimbah, thredbo, canberra … there’s a lot of good stuff around. and nat is improving a lot and – most importantly – enjoying it. have a look – and btw most obstacles you see here are harder to ride than they look, not only for 12 year olds.
