i have been working hard to prepare the karavan for what we expected would be two weeks of self isolation on our lovely new 20 ha property in st helens. except the tasmanian government in all its wisdom decided that it is safer to sit in a government paid tiny hotel room.

safer than out in the bush? really? i mean a tiny room next to other tiny rooms filled with other victims in really close proximity and attended to by a team of unlucky ones whizzing from room to room trying hard not to spread anything they may come across.

anyway, before i stopped working on the van i wanted to finish one more thing: i wanted to ensure the multibox was ready to go so we could store the non-refrigerated food and my usual tools in there. it did have marine carpet in there before but it was not really tailored and not applied to the vertical surfaces either.

almost done: there is a bit more surface i wanted to cover but i’ll leave that for another day. as you can see the new light works as well – in case you were wondering, the orange light apparently doesn’t attract bugs as much as white light would. very useful in the bush.
