if you are following our blog you’ll know nat & i like to ride our bikes … a lot. our chosen type of riding is what’s these days referred to as ‘enduro’. enduro riders aren’t quite the masochists cross country (xc) riders have to be: we like to earn our turns by riding up the mountains but the fun really only starts when the front wheel is pointing down (and preferably only occasionally in touch with the ground).
plus enduro riders quite obviously have a far superior sense of fashion: there is a definite ‘no lycra’ policy in our ranks. we exclusively wear really cool loose fitting clothes, strategically placed protection gear that makes us look rugged and our helmets don’t make us look like calimero.
so clearly nat and i have been part of the cool tribe for a while now and it was really only a matter of time before kris joined us as well. her condition: she wanted an e-bike. now we have a supercharged shuttle-mum and i got the strava record to prove it: she pushed me all the way up townlink but i paid her back on the way down.
kris is super stoked and frothing to shred the rad trails with us. we hope she’ll still shuttle us though. i guess she can always ride back up to get the car, she’s got a motor now, right?
