look, things go wrong, especially when one is sitting on what can only be described as an incredibly unstable platform placed on a constantly moving surface while being impacted by an unpredictable force. given those parameters it is little wonder things can get interesting quickly. and when i say interesting i mean cold and wet in the short term, and definitely physical in the medium term.

still, when one falls, one tends to try and get back up. the alternative would be much less attractive. it’s reassuring nat is now quite good at getting loose unit back on an even keel. and for her first time in the drink (on the 29er) yani handled herself extremely well, too.

that was fun, at least for us who were sitting on the relatively dry and comparatively warm (kris would disagree) rubber inflatable. anyhow, this was nat & yani’s first capsize and they handled it very well. i particularly liked the little backflip yani treated us to, that was spectacular. the wind wasn’t great today, shift and gusty, and it got a bit too much for their second time out together. a true tale of development.
