i’ve finally been able to re-arrange my cockpit.
my hope mono m4 brakes arrived yesterday, and of course i had to install them right away. i love the feel of the mono lever. should i get the red anodized master cylinder caps?
nah .. i think that would be a bridge too far.
the proceed was all black & gold, this bike will be red and … whatever the obviously colourblind spesh designers decided to call this mess of a colour.
you may remember that i had the hope monos on my old bike, too, and i was completely blown away by their performance. no question i had to get another set.
the new monos are slightly different: instead of an ‘is’ mount they are now made ‘post mount’ style, which makes it easier to align them. the quad piston setup remained, with different bore sizes for better modulation.
the adaptors are a work of art.
this time i got myself the floating rotors: steel brake disk (sawtooth style) on an aluminium spider. red anodized.
of course.
this is what the bike looks like today.
there is only one more thing …
