some five years back our photo career started with a (then top notch) canon ixus. all the photos we took during our us trip were taken with that small 2 mp camera, and even though its capabilities are less then optimal by today’s standards we are still happy with the pictures.
we did, however, miss the possibility to select different lenses or use a better quality flash. consequently we bought a digital slr, and the price difference is more than made up for by the far superior quality.
the dslr, 3 lenses, the flash and all the other goodies can be a bit of a problem (even with the perfect jack wolfskin backbag) when you want to take a longer walk or when the weather turns bad.
this is why we now decided to buy a small point & shoot camera again to accompany the d60. we bought the f10 for its good price / performance ratio and the (optional) underwater housing. after all, we will definitely do some diving and snokelling in australia again …
