nat’s gone fully semi-pro. at least her bike has: not everyone knows this but it is essential for pro bikes to have the rider name & nationality displayed on the frame.
without these super important stickers your bike is basically just another overpriced assembly of carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium. anyone could have one of those. and despite what some people think running race plates when you’re not actually racing is embarrassing, not cool.
so the only way to clearly signal your serious race credentials when you’re not participating in an actual race is by using those cool name stickers. very understated, too. a bit like ensuring the coloured manufacturer logos on the tires are lined up with the valve stems. you knew that of course …
they really do look cool.
