after a few days of pretty strong winds it was a quiet day today, and i was able to end the drone up for a little look. a few things have changed, and it’s great to see it starting to come together.

for one the roof structure is almost complete, and the roof can now go on (weather permitting next week). then of course there is the dry creek bed we’ve been working on lately; i think that looks very pretty. i still have to cover the clay on the left with top soil. i’ve managed to move quite a bit of it from the pile across the road, but the little excavator struggles a bit when it comes to spreading it evenly: it just doesn’t have the reach.

and here is a nice ‘little planet’ from a slightly higher vantage point as usual. it shows not only the house, but also the shed and our ‘kunzea plantation’ to the north (at the lower end of the planet). it has been a lot of work to get to this point, and we’re only just getting an idea of what it will take to finish our job. it’s given us a completely new perspective on what is means to own a bush property – but we love it!
