after three years of faultless service my trusty crank brothers pedals started to develop a little creak. luckily they can be rebuilt.
and it is neither hard nor expensive. all you need is a few tools i am sure every household has, like an allen key, a set of spanners and a torque wrench.
once the cover is off there is a little 6mm nut , and with that off the rest comes apart quickly.
after that it’s a matter of changing the o rings, the bearing and bushing (that is the most annoying part of the job). grease the spindle and it all goes back together again.
hopefully i’ll now get another few years out of it.
