ok i mean mousse. and you can’t eat it either, but it’s a good idea to put some in your tires.
it’s not a new invention, it’s been around for a few years, and it’s easy to see why.it’s really unpleasant to have a flat tyre on a ride. not as nasty say as a punctured engine case but not very nice either. in a race it’s even worse: first you loose time because the flat slows you down, then you got to take the wheel off and fix it and maybe loose even more time.
with mousse you can’t get a flat; it’s basically a foam insert. great idea, not easy to install. good thing i now have a full set of the longest tyre irons you can imagine, and today i changed the front.
it was not too bad really, took me maybe half an hour, and i think next time will be better still. it was, however, the first time i broke a real sweat changing tyres. honestly.
and it would have been easier had i not pulled a tendon off my thumb last weekend. now i have a splint that i need to keep on for the next 8 weeks.
just enough time for it to heal before the condo.
